An ignition control board keeps an eye on gas flow, the ignition ignitor and other safety devices built into the system. It has been a very important circuit board that some companies have moved to be a standard part of the main board for the sake of being more efficient.

- Ignition sequence declines to kick in even when the thermostat kicks it on
