Whirlpool ATE0955CPP0 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that determines if and when the air is warmed to a point for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
What are the indications that my limit switch most likely is almost dead?
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence nor will it stay running for any length of time
- The system is starting to become inconsistent on more than one occasion
