Whirlpool ATE1242CPP0 Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the air is warm enough for the air to begin normal home circulation. Limit switches exist due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Important hints limit type switch will eventually need to be replaced
- The heating and cooling system refuses to kick in or run longer that five minutes
- The system is starting to ramp up but then stops occasionally
