The control board is constructed to direct everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors and the blower all in one unit. Your air handler will be unable to be able to function unless this important circuit board is installed. The proper control board is supposed to have a part number that matches the brand and the model of the unit you have installed.
