Whirlpool ATE1245SPP0 Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor in the heating area that can determine when the heated air is warmed to a point for the air to begin normal home circulation. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Symptoms limit type switch is going out
- The Whirlpool system begins to stop suddenly on a regular basis
- The HVAC system refuses to start nor will it stay running for any significant length if time
