Whirlpool ATE1255RPP0 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be dissipated. The motor can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this can make the installation go smoother and cheaper too. Just make sure the new motor has the correct voltage and correct amp current as on the current fan motor.
Warnings the condenser fan motor needs replacing
- The Whirlpool cooling motor fails to spin at all
- The motor begins to smoke or sparks while in use
- You can hear a rubbing or scraping sound while the cooling fan is beginning to turn
