The limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that decides when the air is warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches are crucial because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
How do you know when your limit switch most likely really needs to be replaced?
- The system is beginning to erratically more than once
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or run well longer than 30 seconds
