The limit switch is a switch in the air handler that can determine when the heated air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the warmed air is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
What are some hints that my main limit switch is about to stop working?
