Whirlpool ATE1553RPP0 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
Major symptoms limit type switch will need to be replaced
- The whole system starts to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly from time to time
- The HVAC system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running for any significant length if time
