The control board is designed to direct the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the various sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. The board you select should have part numbers that match both the brand and specific model of furnace or air handler you have. Be very careful while picking a new replacement board because of the many variances of brands, models and types of systems.
