Whirlpool ATR0942RPP0 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that determines when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
What to see if the limit switch most likely really needs to be replaced?
- The HVAC system begins to erratically more often than not
- Your Whirlpool system refuses to kick in nor will it stay running longer than 10 minutes
