A flame sensor is an important feature that will sense the proper flame upon ignition. For obvious reasons, when the sensor is triggered by an event everything comes to a halt until the problem is repaired.
Indications of a faulty flame sensor
- System kicks in occasionally only
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace refuses to try to begin an ignition sequence and shut down
- Your furnace will not work whatsoever
