Whirlpool ATR0953BPP0 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose resistance fluctuates depending on the thermal temperature. The control board reads the temperature in certain areas to make a decision on what needs to be done. They can tell the main board when a temperature reaches a certain point.
Symptoms your thermister has very little life left
- The system blower could never begin in the attempt to ramp up to full speed
- The heating and AC system may not operate due to a problematic thermistor
