Exact measurements of the air filter can not be a choice you make but rather a requirement of whoever designed your heating and cooling system. Air Filters are available in many filtering types which depends on your particular demands for clean air and air handler requirements.
Major symptoms the dust filter should need replacing
- The main filter looks brown and it would be best to replace it soon
- It is greatly recommended to swap out your air filter every 90 days in order to keep the air free from too much dust
- If you hold it up to the light, it is unable to break through to the other side of the filter at all
