The Whirlpool ATR1543CPP0 control board is designed to regulate the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors as well as the blower all at once. It is impossible for your furnace or air handler to even function unless this board is accurately installed and configured. The chosen circuit board is supposed to have a part number that matches both the make and model of air handler system you have. You must do some research when you choose a replacement due to the vast differences in HVAC systems.
