Whynter ARC-08WB Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air never warms up the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that decides when the heated air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What to see if the limit type switch really is in need of replacing?
- Your system starts to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly from time to time
- The HVAC system will not even start nor will it stay running even though max temp has not been reached
