Whynter ARC-10WB Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has an important job of cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The unit may be replaced on its own as this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and cheaper for you. It is critical that you buy a replacement motor with the same voltage and the precise amperage as it is on the current motor.
What are the indications that my fan motor is on its last leg?
- The Whynter motor cannot turn at all
- The motor smells burnt or sparks when in use
- You can hear a scraping sound while the cooling fan is just starting
