Whynter ARC-131GD Limit Switch
One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that senses, or governs, when the heated air is warm enough for the blower to be activated.
Signs of an inadequate limit switch
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or run well longer that five minutes
- The Whynter system starts to act weird time after time
