Whynter ARC-143MX Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is a contraption that will reliable sense the flame when the system starts. Because of the safety issues involved, if the flame sensor senses a problem the system remains completely shut down for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
General warnings of an ineffective Whynter flame sensor
- Your gas furnace is unable to ramp up whatsoever
- The propane or natural gas refuses to try to burn and some type of error flashes on the main board
- The unit will start on certain occasions at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
