Whynter ARC-14SH Limit Switch
Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Indications of a laboring limit type switch
- The heating and AC system will not initiate or run well longer than 30 seconds
- The system starts to initiate and then stops from time to time
